RAGBRAI belongs to Iowa.  Amoxicillin 500 mg, As thousands of bicyclists prepare for their grueling ride around the state, I searched our Youth Services collection for an amusing picture book about biking.  Published in 1996, “My Sister’s Rusty Bike” by Jim Aylesworth pedaled to the top of my list.  Who says you need the latest and greatest set of spokes?  Written in rollicking rhyme, Aylesworth takes a young boy around the United States on his sister’s rusty bike.  Our young protagonist explores real towns from Stoney Run, Pennsylvania to Santa Cruz, California.  He discovers unusual residents and their peculiar pets.  Jojo Jones in Minnesota has pampered toads and serves them flies a la mode;  in Colorado, Benny Finn has real bear rugs (which is fine until he gets out the vacuum),  and Dixie Nix, in Arizona, feeds her snakes pies and cakes.  Sadly, his ride comes to an end when his tire takes a spike.  However, he’ll be back riding around just as soon as he finds a patch.  Funny pictures compliment the humorous alliteration of each verse.  Children ages 4-8 will enjoy their cross-country trip around America’s back roads.  For more books about biking, gonorrhea amoxicillin, Amoxicillin for syphilis, visit the display in the Youth Services area of the Burlington Public Library.
